Moong sprouts/ Mung sprouts is a healthy and nutritional addition to our diet. Moong sprouts can be consumed either raw or cooked still provide umpteen benefits. These moong sprouts are crisp due to which they are often added in salad and stir fry. But we can can make many more Indian dishes with these sprouts/ green gram dal like dosa, pulao, biryani, curry, gravy, idli and much more. So here is a simple, quick and healthy salad that can be prepared in a jiffy and it can add lots of nutritional benefits to your health. I have used the moong sprouts in the recipe in raw form which can be used in cooked form as well. So let’s get to the making!

- 1. Moong sprouts – 2 cups (raw)
- 2. Onion – ¼ cup (chopped)
- 3. Tomato – ¼ cup (chopped)
- 4. Cucumber- ¼ cup (chopped)
- 5. Grated carrot – ¼ cup (optional)
- 6. Pepper powder – ¼ tsp (optional)
- 7. Salt – to taste
- 8. Lemon – 1 tbsp (juice from half big lemon)
- * 1 cup = 235 ml
- In a bowl add fresh moong sprouts, finely chopped onion, tomato, cucumber, grated darrot, salt and pepper powder.
- Now squeeze lemon to the sprouts bowl. Mix well and relish it.
