Instant chocolate bread cake/ Instant bread cake is a delicious and quick to make cake prepared with just 6 ingredients in 10 minutes. Yes you heard that right!! As the title says this cake is prepared with fresh/ leftover bread slices and is a no bake cake recipe. An instant cake that can be easily prepared even by beginners and surprise their loved ones on this valentine’s day and they will surely love it. Yes this no bake bread cake/ no bake cake is a VALENTINE’S DAY SPECIAL recipe just like the other recipes I posted all these years. I heard you guys!! Valentine’s day has a special cake recipe and I have already posted in blog like this RED VELVET CUPCAKE with natural color and was super hit in blog as it has no food color in the recipe.
In no bake chocolate cake recipe I have used just 3 white bread slices (serves 2) but you could use as many slices as you like depending on how many layers you want or depending on the head count and make as big as possible like birthday cake by arranging bread slices in rectangle shape next to each other. Sorry guys kept mentioning the name of the cake many times as it might not be understandable for many.

So let’s get to the making bread cake/ No bake chocolate bread cake!!
- 1. White bread slices – 3
- 2. Sugar – 2 tbsp
- 3. Water – ¼ cup
- 4. Chocolate sprinkles – 3 tbsp (for topping/ decoration)
- 1. Whipping cream- ½ cup
- 2. Sugar – ¼ cup
- 3. Unsweetened cocoa powder – 1 tbsp
- * 1 cup = 235 ml
- In a small bowl add water and sugar. Mix well until sugar dissolves. Keep this mixture aside.
- Take a bread slice chop off its sides (brown part). Repeat the process for all the bread slices. Keep it aside.
- Now in a wide bowl add ½ cup whipped cream, unsweetened cocoa powder, sugar and vanilla syrup. Using a hand blender beat the cream until stiff peaks form. The frosting should look light and thick in consistency. Now keep the bowl of frosting inside the fridge until ready to use.
- Now on a plate/ tray/ cutting board place a bread slice. Spread few tablespoons of sugar syrup. Do not soak the bread slice and get it wet, as the break will get mushy. Now spread 2 tbsp of chocolate frosting or as needed, on the bread slice wet in sugar syrup.
- Now place another bread slice on the frosting, add sugar syrup and spread 2 tbsp of chocolate frosting or as needed, on the bread slice wet in sugar syrup. Now repeat the same for third bread slice and then apply the chocolate frosting the cake thoroughly with frosting. all over the bread slices as shown in the collage. Take your time to cover it properly.
- Now add the remaining frosting to the pastry bag/ piping bag with star disc. Pipe designs of your choice on the bread cake. I tried to making shapes that cakes carry, but you can make any design of your choice. Finally top the cake with chocolate sprinkles. Refrigerate it for 10 minutes and relish the cake.
