Tapioca halwa/ Cassava halwa/ Kappa halwa is one such unique yummy tasting sweet prepared by sweetening the cooked and mashed tapioca with condensed milk which is also flavored with cardamom and garnished with ghee fried cashews.
We have heard making halwa with veggies like these:
But this particular cassava halwa is my personal favorite and the credits goes to my mom as she makes it super delish that it difficult to resist. I have tried my level best to match it to her taste but whatever is made by mom is always heaven and unmatchable. This is again a sweet recipe for Navaratri and continuity to last week’s post. Now back to the recipe. The tapioca used in this recipe is frozen one so could not share the cleaning and chopping images. In this kappa halwa recipe I have used both sugar and condensed milk the latter is for taste so don’t skip it, also I skipped food color in the recipe as I wanted the halwa in its natural color but if you need it you can add a pinch of yellow food color with sugar mixture. So if you are a tapioca lover like me then surely give this recipe a try. So let’s get to the making of kappa halwa!
