Cholam ladoo/ Jowar ladoo/ Sorghum ladoo is a healthy and easy to make sweet that can be served as evening snack/ offered as Naivedyam during festivals like Navaratri and Ganesh Chaturthi. Yes this healthy millet ladoo needs just 4 ingredients in its making and can be prepared in jiffy and it is important to add such millets to our diet in different yummy forms as we all know jowar/ cholam is rich in iron, fiber, protein, controls blood sugar levels and packed with vitamins, minerals and micronutrients, so adding this millet in any form to our diet can do lot of goodness to our health.
For this millet ladoo I used store bought jowar flour but you could use homemade ones too by soaking jowar/ white cholam in water for 1 hour then drying it on a cloth and finally grinding it into powder. Also in this recipe I used jaggery for sweetness but you could use panakalkandu / raw sugar or even karupatti/ palm jaggery which is really good for health. I have already posted 2 recipes using karupatti/ palm jaggery like these:
