Kada muttai/ Quail eggs are small eggs that are light and dotted unlike the usual chicken eggs. As you can infer from the egg’s name there are tiny pieces of nutrition from a wild bird named “QUAIL”. I can hear all your questions😜 So I got to know about this egg a decade back in a television program, I kept noting the recipes for quail/ kada and also for its egg, but never had the courage to taste it or cook it, every time I go to shop thinking I should buy it, I ignored it thinking it wouldn’t taste good, but I was wrong as my hubby loved it. I ate just little 😂 no comments on that. So back to the egg story. This egg prevents bladder stones, improves vision, hair, prevents cough, boosts immunity and much more so addition of these eggs in your diet can be a good decision. These eggs are tasty and easy to cook just like chicken eggs but hard to peel after they are boiled. But otherwise I don’t see any other cons in it. So coming to the recipe I tried making a spicy masala/ roast with these mini eggs and it goes well with hot sambar rice, roti or any main dish. Try this delicious and simple kada muttai/ quail egg roast this Sunday!
These eggs are available in few Indian stores/ Asian stores, so don’t forget to grab one if you haven’t tried it yet. So lets get to the making!
