Hope everyone had a colorful, bright and safe diwali!
So after feeding on a lot of snacks and sweets which is a main part of any Indian festival its time to get hold of beverage/ drink to aid in digestion. True right! So here’s one such Indian beverage that we all are aware of which could be forgotten amidst the festivity. JAL JEERA yes u heard it right! A spice mixed and flavorful drink is something that is very important to consume after eating all those fried snacks. Preparation of this drink takes very less time and voila in no time its going to soothe your tummy and will refresh you and cool your body. For the below recipe i used green chili in the making as we like it that way which can be skipped as well. So sharing here one of my favorite drink comment below what’s your favorite and let me know it. So lets get to the making!

- 1. Fresh mint – ¼ cup
- 2. Cilantro – ¼ cup
- 3. Tamarind – tiny piece
- 4. Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
- 5. Black pepper – ¼ tsp
- 6. Green chili – 1 (optional)
- 7. Ginger – tiny piece
- 8. Lemon – ½
- 9. Chat masala powder – ¼ tsp
- 10. Cumin powder – ¾ tsp
- 11. Sugar – ¼ tsp
- 12. Salt – very little
- 13. Boondi – 2 tbsp
- 14. Water – 2 - 3 cups
- * 1 cup = 235 ml
- Soak tamarind in water for 10 minutes. In a blender add all the above mentioned items except for lemon, water and boondi. Grind it into smooth paste.
- Now pour the mixture through a strainer. Remove the strainer and add desired quantity of water and also squeeze in lemon juice from half lemon. Mix everything really well and serve it chilled topped with boondi.

- Soak tamarind in water for 10 minutes. In a blender add all the above mentioned items except for lemon, water and boondi. Grind it into smooth paste.
- Now pour the mixture through a strainer. Remove the strainer and add desired quantity of water and also squeeze in lemon juice from half lemon. Mix everything really well and serve it chilled topped with boondi.
