Quinoa lemon pulihora is super easy and quick to prepare recipe that too with very simple ingredients that is used for making regular lemon pulihora/ lemon rice where only the rice is replaced with quinoa. How to make Quinoa lemon pulihora with step by step images
- Wash, cut and squeeze lemon juice from lemon and keep it aside.
- Wash quinoa in water and keep it aside. In a pan/ kadai add 1 ½ cups of water, allow it to boil. When the water starts to boil add washed quinoa and mix well. Cover it with a lid and cook for 20 minutes in medium flame. Give an occasional stir to make sure its not burning. When done put off the flame and keep it aside.(If the quinoa has white tail it means quinoa is cooked)
- Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, when it splutters add urad dal and channa dal, when it turns golden brown add dried red chilli, when aromatic add curry leaves, green chilli and turmeric powder. Give it a quick stir then add salt and lemon juice. Mix well and put off the flame after 30 seconds.
- Now pour this lemon mixture over cooked quinoa and mix well. Garnish it with chopped cilantro and serve!
