Mango rasam/charu is a sweet and tangy recipe made with ripe mangoes. When I made this rasam/charu I was really not confident about its taste but it turned out great during lunch. It is different recipe but truly yummy one and mango lovers will like it for sure. I made this recipe with frozen mangoes but still tasted delicious. If u can get hold of mangoes do reserve few pieces to try this recipe. So lets get to the making!

Ingredients
- Mango cubes – ¾ cup
- Minced Garlic – 1
- Cumin seeds – ¼ tsp
- Rasam powder- ½ tsp
- Red chili – 2
- Mustard seeds – ½ tsp
- Oil – 1 tsp
- Hing a pinch
- Curry leaves a spring
- Cilantro for garnish
How to make Mango rasam with step by step images
- Puree mangoes in a blender and keep it aside.
- Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, after it splutters add cumin seeds after it crackles add red chili, minced garlic,curry leaves and hing. When aromatic add mango puree and allow it to boil it adding enough water to get rasam/charu consistency.
- Then add rasam powder and garish with cilantro and put off the flame after one boil.
- Serve it hot with rice.
