This is simple and mouthwatering bonda with crispy outer and soft inner and tastes delicious with chutney and sambar. This recipe is a hassle free one and I often make it at home as my hubby is a great fan of these golden beauties. The best part is their aroma will fill the house when you fry them. For this recipe I allowed the batter to rest for 1 hour in order to get more crispiness. So lets get to the frying!

How to make Mysore bonda with step by step images
- Soak urad dal for 3 hours. Grind it in blender adding salt. (For grinding I used only ¼ cup water).
- Transfer the batter to a bowl and add chopped green chili, peppercorn, curry leaves, rice flour, chopped coconut and mix everything well. Heat oil in a pan and drip small portions of the batter in oil one by one. Cook until the bonda turns crispy and golden brown. Transfer it to a plate with paper towel to drain excess oil.
- Serve it hot with chutney and sambar!
