Pineapple sheera recipe, Pineapple kesari recipe

Pineapple sheera is a delicious sweet recipe made with sooji/ rava and pineapple. This Sheera/ kesari is much tastier than any other sheera/ kesari as the chopped pineapple is cooked in ghee and we can taste chunks of pineapple in every bite which is a real bliss for pineapple lovers. Pineapple sheera/ kesari can be made during any special occasion or festivals. This recipe requires no grinding and no pre preparation hence it is easy to be prepared even by beginners. The below mentioned sugar quantity is according to my family and you can alter the quantity according to your taste. So lets get to the making!

Ingredients

  • Chopped Pineapple – ½ cup
  • Rava/ Sooji – ½ cup
  • Sugar – ½ cup
  • Water – 1 ¼ cup
  • Ghee – 1/3 cup
  • Cardamom powder – a pinch
  • Yellow food color – a pinch
  • Cashews – 6
  • Dry grapes – 5

Directions


Pineapple sheera

  1. Heat ghee in a pan add cashews and fry until golden brown. Then add dry grapes, when they puff up add chopped pineapple and saute well. Allow the pineapple to get cooked in ghee in medium flame (It took me around 7 – 8 minutes). Make sure not to brown them.
  2. When the pineapple looks cooked add sooji/ rava in it and roast for few seconds.

  3. Now add water to it and mix well. When the sooji pineapple mixture starts bubbling add food color and cardamom powder. Mix well and when the sooji looks cooked add sugar and mix well. Put off the flame and serve.
